Stories of Trials, Triumph, and Change

How to tell your CrossFit story

1. Think about what it is that CrossFit has done for you and your life or the life of someone close to you.

2. Take that special story and put it into words. Using first person perspective, tell your story in such a way as to involve the reader and help them feel as if they were there. This should be accomplished through laughter, tears, chills, etc. You are molding inspiration for others so as long as you can accomplish it with words we’ll consider it. So whether your preference is a story or a poem, inspire away!

3. Make sure it is written as a story. That means create a beginning, middle, and end. Just as you would want to read a clear story to truly take part in what the author was feeling, others will want the same when they’re reading your amazing tale.

4. Keep your stories under 1200 words.

5. We need an author in order to select any stories that come through our doors so please make sure that is included.

6. You can submit as many stories as you like, please only submit each story once though.

7. Keep a copy of any stories you submit to us. We are not able to send a copy back to you once you have submitted it.

8. If you don’t hear from us for a while, don’t be alarmed. It takes some serious time to decide which stories to use for the book and if you’re selected then you’ll be contacted so that you can start celebrating.

9. If your story is selected, you’ll receive a free copy of the book to proudly show off to your fellow boxmates.

10. Finally, thank you so much for having the courage to tell your story for the inspiration of others. CrossFit prospers because it is a community. We thrive on the support of our workout partners, our coaches, and the people who encourage us day in and day out to show up and better ourselves.
